Senior Day ProgramMeet resultsEwing, NJ … The College of New Jersey men's swimming and diving team defeated William Paterson University 174-91 on Saturday afternoon in TCNJ's Aquatic Center.

The victory pushed the fifth-ranked Lions record to 7-2 in dual meets and a perfect 4-0 in New Jersey Athletic Conference contests. TCNJ clinched its eighth straight NJAC title last weekend and now look forward defending their Metropolitan Conference crown in two weeks.

Seven seniors were honored prior to the meet.
Christian Bacchia (Leonia, NJ/Leonia), Aleksander Burzynski (Colonia, NJ/St. Joseph's), Christopher Dunn (Rutherford, NJ/Rutherford), Dennis Hall-App (Bloomfield, NJ/Bloomfield), Mark Marsella (Elmwood Park, NJ/Bergen Catholic), Brett Pedersen (Sewell, NJ/St. Augustine Prep) and
Brian Perez (Matawan, NJ/St. John Vianney) all suited up for a home meet for the final time in their careers.

Hall-App and Bacchia finished 1-2 in the 100-freestyle event. Hall-App topped the field with a time of 48.34, while Bacchia placed runner-up with a finish of 50.43. Hall-App also placed second in the 200-individual medley, just in front of Marsella and Perez. The threesome posted times of 2:04.37, 2:06.15 and 2:08.93.

In the 200-free, Dunn emerged victorious with a finish of 1:49.11. Freshman teammate
Andrew Coe (Ellicott City, MD/Centennial) took second with a time of 1:51.47. Dunn also contributed the 200-medley relay win with
Jin Roh (Tenafly, NJ/Tenafly), sophomore
Vince Masciandaro (Marlton, NJ/Cherokee) and freshman
Phil Bianco (Point Pleasant, NJ/Point Pleasant Boro). They completed the race in 1:38.58.

Pedersen, Perez and Burzynski climbed out of the pool as one-two-three finishers in the 500-free. Pedersen posted the top time with 5:00.09 followed by Perez with 5:09.78 and Burzynski in 5:15.31. Pedersen also won the 100-breaststroke with a time of 59.09.

Burzynski and Bacchia placed first and second in the 50-free. They completed the two laps in 21.97 and 2.25. Competing in his first meet with the Lions, junior
Dante Colucci (Summit, NJ/St. Peter's Prep) reached back to touch the wall first in the 100-back. He posted a winning time of 54.96.

Chris O'Sullivan (Lebanon, NJ/Voorhees), sophomore
Scott Vitabile (East Windsor, NJ/Hightstown), junior
Joseph Dunn (Fanwood, NJ/Scotch Plains-Fanwood) and sophomore
Andrew Nesbitt (Somerset, NJ/St. Joseph's) also won races. Combined with two diving event wins from freshman
David Adlai-Gail (Princeton Junction, NJ/West Windsor Plainsboro-South), the Lions captured all but one event on the day.

Over the past four seasons, members of the senior class contributed to a number of program accomplishments. The Lions were a posted a dual meet record of 29-6, including a perfect 16-0 mark in conference competition. They have won the past three Met championships and will to add a fourth.
