Saratoga Springs, NY… Skidmore College won five of the six points in singles to come away with a 6-3 win over The College of New Jersey men's tennis team on Saturday.

The loss snapped the eight-match winning streak the Lions had entering the match as the fell to 8-2 on the season. The win put the Thoroughbreds at 8-6.

TCNJ scooped up two points in doubles play, winning at the second and third spot. Sophomores
Jack August (Medford, NJ/Home Schooled) and
Mike Stanley (Newtown, PA/Council Rock North) won 8-6, while the third tandem of freshmen
Sean Fernandez (Emerson, NJ/Bergen Catholic) and
Chris D'Agostino (Belle Mead, NJ/Montgomery), outlast their opponents 9-7.

Stanley earned the other victory for the Lions at sixth singles, winning by the scores of 6-0, 6-1.

TCNJ is back at home tomorrow, April 12 taking on the Bombers of Ithaca College.
