Pierce Cooper (Moorestown, NJ/Moorestown) picked up two wins for The College of New Jersey men's tennis team on Tuesday as he reached 100 career combined wins.

Those wins came when the Lions (10-2) posted a 9-0 shutout over Muhlenberg College.

Cooper collected win number 99 in doubles as he paired with classmate
Billy Buchbinder (Scotch Plains, NJ/Wardlaw-Hartridge) to win 8-4 at first doubles. He then reached the milestone at first singles with a straight set 6-0, 6-0 victory. Cooper reached that plateau with 54 wins in doubles and 46 in singles.

Sophomore
Mike Stanley (Newtown, PA/Council Rock North) also won twice and earned his 50
th career win. He won 8-0 at second doubles with
Jack August (Medford, NJ/Home Schooled) and then posted a 6-3, 6-0 triumph at fifth singles. Stanley has been on a tear of late, having won 10 straight in singles and nine consecutive matches in doubles.

TCNJ earned a sweep in doubles with the third tandem of freshmen
Sean Fernandez (Emerson, NJ/Bergen Catholic) and
Chris D'Agostino (Belle Mead, NJ/Montgomery) cruising, 8-4.

August added a win at second singles with D'Agostino getting another in the third position. Fernandez tacked on a win in the fourth slot, while junior
Marc Friedland (Pennington, NJ/Hopewell Valley) rounded out the match with a triumph in the sixth spot.

The Lions have a small break in the schedule as they don't play again until Sunday, April 19 when they host Franklin & Marshall College.
