Ewing, NJ… The College of New Jersey men's tennis team remained on a roll this spring as the Lions posted a 9-0 triumph over Drew University on Thursday.
 
TCNJ has won six straight dual meets and are 7-1 overall this spring. The team is back on the court on Monday hosting Wilkes University.
 
The Lions claimed all three points in doubles with the first team of juniors Pierce Cooper (Moorestown, NJ/Moorestown) and Billy Buchbinder (Scotch Plains, NJ/Wardlaw-Hartridge) getting the win. That team won by the score of 8-1. The second tandem of sophomore Mike Stanley (Newtown, PA/Council Rock North) and Sean Fernandez (Emerson, NJ/Bergen Catholic) then came away with an 8-1 victory in the second slot. The third team of senior Ezra Klemow (Scotch Plains, NJ/Scotch Plains-Fanwood) and sophomore Jason Prezant (Montvale, NJ/Pascack Hills) blanked their opponents 8-0.
 
Cooper, Buchbinder, freshmen Chris D'Agostino (Belle Mead, NJ/Montgomery), Fernandez, junior Marc Friedland (Pennington, NJ/Hopewell Valley) and Prezant then each won in singles to finish off the shutout.
