The ninth-ranked Lions defeated fourth-ranked Johns Hopkins University by a total of 163.5 – 124.5. TCNJ was outscored by Division II West Chester University 175.0 – 124.0.

Senior
James Shangle (Highland Park, NJ/Highland Park) enjoyed a great day in the waters, winning the 100-breaststroke event with an NCAA B-cut time of 56.45. He also placed runner-up in the 200-breast, posting a finish of 2:06.54 and contributed to a relay event victory.

Freshman
Alex Skoog (Scotch Plains, NJ/Scotch Plains-Fanwood) registered the first win of the day for the Lions. He reached back to touch the wall first in the 100-backstroke with a time of 53.70. Veteran freestylist
Joseph Dunn (Fanwood, NJ/Scotch Plains-Fanwood) took top honors in the 50-free and also placed second in the 100-butterfly with a time of 52.25. Junior
Scott Vitabile (East Windsor, NJ/Hightstown) finished third in that race with a time of 53. 49.

Vitabile also won the 100-free event, clocking 47.52.

The 400-freestyle relay team capped the day of events with a first-place finish. Dunn,
junior Ryan Gajdzisz (Scotch Plains, NJ/Scotch Plains-Fanwood), Shangle, and Vitabile combined to register a time of 3:08.60.

In diving competition, senior
Daniel Tsinis (East Brunswick, NJ/East Brunswick) finished runner-up in the 3-meter diving event with a score of 262.13. Sophomore
David Adlai-Gail (Princeton Junction, NJ/West Windsor-South) took third overall, tallying 215.03 points.

TCNJ will continue it regular season on Wednesday, January 20 when they visit 12
th-ranked Stevens Institute of Technology for a dual meet at 3:00 p.m.
