Mahwah, N.J. … The College of New Jersey field hockey team traveled to Ramapo College today for an NJAC matchup. The #10 ranked Lions (10-3; 4-0 NJAC) defeated the Roadrunners (2-8; 0-3 NJAC) by a score of 7-0. 
The Lions scored three goals in the first half from freshman 
Cayla Andrews (Hackettstown, NJ/Hackettstown), and seniors 
Lexi Smith (Florence, NJ/Florence Township) and 
Danielle Andreula (New Egypt, NJ / New Egypt).
TCNJ continued to dominate offensively in the second half as they recorded four more goals to make the final score 7-0.
Elizabeth Morrison (Stonington, CT/Stonington) netted two goals, while Smith and 
Alexa Magnotta (New Egypt, NJ/New Egypt) each tallied one in the second half.
The Lions had five different players score, and a total of eight players contribute to the scoring.
Earning assists during the game were 
Kayla Mosser (Long Valley, NJ/West Morris Central), 
Jordan Paton (Allendale, NJ/Northern Highlands), 
Sidney Padilla (Suffern, NY/Suffern) and Smith.
Throughout the contest TCNJ recorded 40 shots, while not allowing Ramapo to get a single shot off.
Christina Fabiano (Wayne, NJ/Wayne Hills) earned the start in net. Both 
Kelly Schlupp (Holland, PA/Council Rock South) and 
Madison Beaumont (Oxford, NJ/Belvidere) logged minutes in relief.
With the victory the Lions have now won six straight games, and are firing with all cylinders as they enter their final two NJAC contests of the regular season this upcoming week.
The Lions are back in action on Tuesday, October 18 when they host Stockton University. The game is slated for a 7:30 p.m. start in Lions Stadium.
