Mahwah, NJ … The College of New Jersey men's swimming and diving team cruised to a New Jersey Athletic Conference win, posting a 159-98 victory at Ramapo on Saturday afternoon.

The win pushed the Lions season mark to 3-0 and 2-0 in the league standings. TCNJ won 10 individual events (including the first eight of the meet) and both relays.

Sophomore
Alex Skoog (Scotch Plains, NJ/Scotch Plains-Fanwood) had a big day, topping the field in the 1000-meter freestyle (10:07.24) and the 200-backstroke (1:57.23) events. He also contributed to wins in the 200-medley and 400-freestyle relay races.

Joining Skoog in the opening 200-medley was senior
Scott Vitabile (East Windsor, NJ/Hightstown), senior
Andrew Nesbitt (Somerset, NJ/St. Joseph's), and junior
Adam Coppola (Kearny, NJ/High Tech). They registered a finish of 1:38.66 to get the Lions rolling.

Freshman
Harrison Yi (Tenafly, NJ/Tenafly) enjoyed another impressive night in the lanes, winning the 200- and 500-freestyle events, and the 400-individual medley. Yi touched the wall in 1:46.26 in the 200-free, won the 500-free by more than 23 seconds with a finish of 4:54.55 and dominated the 400-IM with a time of 4:17.08.

Vitabile, who also won the 200-butterfly event, joined Skoog, junior
Phil Binaco (Point Pleasant, NJ/Point Pleasant Boro), and freshman
David Madigan (Lawrenceville, NJ/Notre Dame) to take top honors in the 400-free relay. They posted a finish of 3:17.36 to win the final event of the day.
