Glassboro, NJ … The College of New Jersey men's swimming and diving team suffered a 178-122 at Rowan University on Saturday in New Jersey Athletic Conference action.

The Lions (4-3) received solid performances from sophomore
Alex Skoog (Scotch Plains, NJ/Scotch Plains-Fanwood) and senior
Ryan Gajdzisz (Scotch Plains, NJ/Scotch Plains-Fanwood). Both swimmers captured a pair of individual events, while senior
Scott Vitabile (East Windsor, NJ/Hightstown) also took top honors in the meet.

Skoog placed first in the 100- and 200-backstroke races. He touched the wall in 52.31 to win the 100 and returned to the lanes to register a time of 1:54.12 to win the 200. Gajdzisz won the 200-freestyle event in 1:42.72 and the 500-free in 4:44.72.

Vitabile was the first place finisher in the 100-butterfly race, posting a time of 51.14. He also placed second in the 100-free (46.63) and 200-free (1:43.68).

All three swimmers joined senior
Andrew Nesbitt (Somerset, NJ/St. Joseph's) to win the 400-free relay. They won the race in 3:06.59.
