Glassboro, NJ… Trevor Osler (Marlton, NJ/Cherokee) threw for a career-high 340 yards and three touchdowns to lead The College of New Jersey football team to a 20-14 victory over New Jersey Athletic Conference rival Rowan University Saturday afternoon. The Lions (1-5, 1-4 NJAC) got the first win in the TCNJ career of head coach

Troy Domenick (Marlton, NJ/Cherokee) stuffed Anthony Diorio for a gain of just one yard. The very next play Osler found
Thomas Koenig (Bayville, NJ/Central Regional) for a 79-yard touchdown. Koenig finished with 131 yards on four catches, his third straight 100-yard game.

Jalen Harmon (Columbus, NJ/Northern Burlington) forced a fumble on the ensuing kick-off that
Liam Abujawdeh (Howell, NJ/Colts Neck) pounced on. Two plays later Osler hit
Vincent Guckin (Cherry Hill, NJ/Cherry Hill East) to put the Lions up 14-0.

TCNJ's next possession would come following a missed field goal. Osler led the team on a 13-play drive taking up just under eight minutes. The drive culminated on a second touchdown pass from Osler to Guckin.

Rowan fought back, getting a one-yard Diorio run with 48 seconds remaining in the first half to cut the deficit to 20-7. Diorio, who entered the game ranked second in the conference at 94.8 yards per game, was held to just 72 yards on 17 attempts. Diorio's backfield mate John Mannion found the end zone midway through the third quarter, making the contest a one possession game.

The Profs would get their best chance late in the fourth quarter, getting to midfield with just under three minutes to play.
Max Busca (Medford, NJ/Shawnee) made a huge sack on third-and-13 forcing one final punt. Osler found tight end
Chase Vena (Tabernacle, NJ/Seneca) for a first down, then
Khani Glover (Jackson, NJ/Jackson Memorial) ran off right tackle for 11-yards on the next play allowing TCNJ to enter victory formation and run out the remaining seconds.

The Lions return home next Saturday at 2:00 PM to take on Kean University as part of homecoming on the campus of TCNJ.
