Ewing, NJ … The College of New Jersey men's swimming and diving team wrapped up its regular season schedule with a 184-98 win over William Paterson University on Saturday afternoon in the TCNJ Aquatic Center.

Seniors
Sean Johnson (Hillsborough, NJ/Hillsborough),
Ryan Gajdzisz (Scotch Plains, NJ/Scotch Plains-Fanwood),
Scott Vitabile (East Windsor, NJ/Hightstown), and
Anthony Gurrieri (Metuchen, NJ/John F. Kennedy) all celebrated their final home meet with top finishes in individual events. Senior diver
David Adlai-Gail (Princeton Jct., NJ/West Windsor Plainsboro-North) also won both diving events, while senior
Vince Masciandaro (Marlton, NJ/Cherokee) and
Andrew Nesbitt (Somerset, NJ/St. Joseph's) raced in the 400-freestyle winning relay.

Johnson opened the individual races by winning the 1000-meter freestyle event with a time of 10:15.49. Vitabile took top honors in the 100-backstroke with a finish of 53.93. Gajdzisz won both the 100-breast and 50- free events with times of 56.62 and 21.43.

Later in the meet, Gurrieri topped the field in the 100-free with a finish of 49.00.

In the 400-free relay, Nesbitt,
Alex Skoog (Scotch Plains, NJ/Scotch Plains-Fanwood), and Vitabile raced to a winning time of 3:14.75. The team of
Derek Kneisel (Linwood, NJ/Mainland Regional), Elias O'Connor (River Vale, NJ/Pascack Valley), freshman
Zach Volm (Cherry Hill, NJ/Cherry Hill East), and junior
Ryan Hackett (Lincoln Park, NJ/DePaul Catholic), joined forces to win the 200-medley relay.

Adlai-Gail posted winning scores of 239.25 in the 1-meter board and 215.18 in the 3-meter. Junior
Andrew Coe (Ellicott City, MD/Centennial) won the 100- and 200-butterfly events.

The Lions will prepare to compete in the 2017 Metropolitan Conference Championships in two weeks. The meet is held at Rutgers University and runs from Friday, February17 through Sunday, February 19.
