Ewing, NJ... The College of New Jersey tennis team swept Goucher College 9-0 Sunday afternoon from the Student Rec Center. The Lions dropped just six games across the three doubles matches and won all six singles matches in straight sets. The win improves the Lions record to 4-1, while dropping the Gophers to 3-4.
Senior
Mike Stanley(Newton, PA / Council Rock North) had a stand out day winning 6-0, 6-0 in his singles match, and teaming up with classmate
Jack August (Medford, NJ / Home Schooled) for an 8-1 doubles win.
Sophomore
Tim Gavornik (Millington, NJ / Watchung Hills) won his singles match 6-1, 6-1 and junior
Chris D'Agostino (Belle Mead, NJ / Montgomery) won 6-1, 6-3 before the two paired up for an 8-2 doubles win.
The Lions remain home as they now battle Muhlenberg College on Monday, March 20th at 3:30 PM
