Jack August (Medford, NJ) collected his 100th career combined win in thrilling fashion, battling his way to victory in the third set with an epic 19-17 victory. August won his 50th career doubles match with teammate
Chris D'Agostino (Belle Meade, NJ/Montgomery) by a score of 8-5. He followed with his 50th singles win, claiming the first set 6-3 before falling 6-3 in he second set. He came out on top of
Sam Leeman in a back-and-forth contest of will to win his 100th match at TCNJ.
Number one singles standout
Mitchel Sanders (Randolph, NJ/Randolph) posted straight set wins and joined
Matt Puig (Allendale, NJ/Northern Highland) to win his doubles match, 8-5. D'Agostino and
Tim Gavornik (Millington, NJ/Watchung Hills) won in straight sets and Omark Bokhari (Lake Hiawatha, NJ/Parsippany) was up 3-0 when his opponent was forced to retire.
Gavonik joined
Gokul Murugesan (Edison, NJ/J.P. Stevens) in an 8-2 victory at third doubles.
TCNJ is back on the courts tomorrow against Hobart College. The match is slated for noon in the Student Recreation Center.
