Ewing, NJ … The College of New Jersey men's tennis team was impressive on Saturday afternoon in the Student Recreation Center as they dominated Haverford College with an 8-1 victory.
The Lions moved to 2-0 this spring, while the Fords fell to 0-4 overall. TCNJ swept all six singles matches and have now won 11-of-12 in their opening two matches in 2017.
Sophomore
Mitchel Sanders (Randolph, NJ/Randolph) posted wins in both the first singles and first doubles match-ups. He joined senior
Mike Stanley (Newtown, PA/Council Rock North) to register an 8-5 at first doubles and fought past Haverford's Josh Moskovitz to claim the first singles match in straight sets, 6-3, 7-6.
All six Lions playing singles needed just two sets to capture their matches. Senior
Jack August (Medford, NJ) put up 6-2, 6-2 scores at second singles and sophomore
Omar Bokhari (Lake Hiawatha, NJ/Parsippany) looked sharp in his 6-2, 6-4 at third singles. Junior
