Ewing, NJ… The College of New Jersey rebounded from a hard-fought top five loss to defeat Fairleigh Dickinson University-Florham 3-0 Tuesday night. The Lions, who now sit at number four in the country, spot a 5-2 record while the Devils fall to 7-3.

The Lions got on the board early when
Tori Tiefenthaler (Freehold, NJ/Biotechnology/Freehold Borough) played a ball into space that
Elizabeth Morrison (Stonington, CT/Stonington) reached first and pushed pass the Devil goalkeeper.

TCNJ had several chances including a corner as time expired in the first half, but the score remained 1-0 into the break.

The Lions were stifled until the game's final ten minutes when Morrison streaked down the right side and fired a shot across to the left post. Morrison was not done for the night, dribbling in from the right side and making a crossing pass to
Samantha Reed (Westbury, NY/Carle Place). Reed finished into the empty net for her first collegiate goal.

Lions goalie
Christina Fabiano (Wayne, NJ/Wayne Hills) made five saves for her second shutout of the season. TCNJ's defense played well in front of Fabiano allowing just seven corners to the Devils. FDU-Florham entered the game having earned 124 corners, most in the country.

The Lions now turn to the conference part of the schedule. TCNJ will travel to William Paterson University for a 1:00 PM start.
