MAHWAH, N.J. – The College of New Jersey men's swimming & diving team topped Ramapo College in a New Jersey Athletic Conference meet on Saturday by a final score of 136-126. The Lions improved to 2-0 on the year while the Roadrunners dropped to 0-2.
Andrew Thompson won the 100-back with a time of 54.54.
Griffin Morgan captured first place in the 200-fly as he timed in at 1:59, while
Mathias Altman-Kurosaki won the 1000-free with a mark of 10:32.
Thompson won two additional events, as he came out on top in the 200-back with a time of 2:01, and the 100-fly with a time of 52.95. Morgan also won three events on the day, as he took the 500-free at 5:02, and the 200-IM at 2:01.
Aidan Steinberg and
Sam Maquet placed third and fifth respectively in the 200-IM to help the Lions secure the narrow victory.
Next up for the Lions is a home meet next Saturday, Nov. 10, against Stevens Institute of Technology at 2:00 p.m.
