Mahwah, NJ… The College of New Jersey lacrosse team continued their hot start to conference play, defeating Ramapo College 20-3 Thursday afternoon. The third-ranked Lions improved to 10-2 overall and 3-0 in New Jersey Athletic Conference play. The Roadrunners dropped to 5-5 and 0-2 in league play.
 
The Lions jumped out to an early 2-0 lead behind a team-leading 29
th goal of the season from 
Alexandria Fitzpatrick (Burlington, NJ/Northern Burlington) and the 23
rd of the year from 
Allie Gorman (Sicklerville, NJ/Washington Twp.). Fitzpatrick ended with a pair of goals and Gorman would complete her hat trick.
 
The Roadrunners responded with a goal by Nicole Jaskot before TCNJ rattled of 13 straight goals to take complete control of the game. 
Kathleen Jaeger (Whitehouse Station, NJ/Hunterdon Central) scored four of her career-high seven goals during the rally. Jaeger also added a pair of assists.
 
Olivia Cleale (Yardley, PA/Notre Dame (NJ)) continued her spectacular season, finishing with a pair of goals and five assists. Cleale has 33 assists on the season, already tied for the eighth most in a single season in program history.
 
Elizabeth Morrison (Stonington, CT/Stonington) had a strong game on the defensive end for the Lions with six draw controls, six caused turnovers, and four ground balls.
 
The Lions were perfect from the free position arc, going 5-for-5.
 
TCNJ returns home to face Rowan University Tuesday, April 17 for a 7:00 PM start.
