ROME, Ga. – Matthew Michibata closed out competition at the ITA Cup Friday morning. The sophomore competed in the consolation bracket against Alexander Angradi of Salisbury University.

The pair battled through a close first set with Angradi coming out on top 6-4. Angradi continued his strong play in the second set earning a 6-2 victory to seal the match.

Michibata ends his fall season 8-5 in singles play this year and is 22-13 for his collegiate career in singles play. He was the first Lion to qualify for the ITA Cup since 2007.
