TOURNAMENT CENTRAL
BALTIMORE - The No. 8/7 TCNJ baseball team will face Farmingdale State in an elimination game on Saturday morning in the NCAA Tournament Baltimore Region. First pitch is set for 11 a.m. TCNJ entered the regional as the top seed, but it fell to fourth-seeded Susquehanna on Saturday. Farmingdale State lost to second-seeded host Johns Hopkins, 6-2, in Friday's second game.
It'll be the second meeting of the season between the Lions and the Rams. Farmingdale State traveled to George Ackerman Park on April 9 and lost the Lions, 10-1. TCNJ scored eight runs in the fifth inning of that game to seal the victory.
Danny Borup was 4-for-5.
Tommy McCarthy and
David Cardona III each had three hits. All three of those players had a double.
The winner of this elimination game will play again on Saturday in the third game of the day against the loser of the Johns Hopkins-Susquehanna matchup. It'll be another elimination game.
