WEST WINDSOR, N.J. – The College of New Jersey men's tennis team competed in the first day of the Ducks/Lions Invitational Saturday. The Lions competed in singles rounds against Stevens Institute of Technology and Wilkes University. TCNJ took 13 of 16 competed matches.
 
The Lions got two wins each from Thomas Wright, Nick Matkiwsky, Andrew Mok, and Nikola Kilibarda. Justin Wain, Oliver Rodriguez, and Rahul Panoli each won in their only action.
 
In the second rounds of matches against Wilkes, TCNJ won all eight matches in straight sets. Against Stevens, Wright, Matkiwsky, and Mok all won in straight sets. Wain survived an 11-9 superbreaker third set and Kilibarda cruised in the third set superbreaker, 10-3.
 
The Lions return to the courts tomorrow for day two of the Ducks/Lions Invite on home courts. Action begins at 10 a.m.
