EWING, N.J. – The College of New Jersey men's tennis team finished competition in the Lions Kickoff Tournament Sunday. The Lions took three of four doubles matches from the Violets of New York University on the day, while also capturing three singles matches.
 
Matthew Michibata and Nick Matkiwsky paired for an 8-5 win. Justin Wain and Akul Telluri combined for an 8-4 victory. Sean Reilly and Nikola Kilibarta teamed for an 8-4 win.
 
In singles play, Michibata earned a 4-6, 6-4, 10-2 win. Telluri won in straight sets 6-1, 6-2. Andrew Mok won a pro set 8-6.
 
The Lions return to action Saturday in the dual hosted Ducks/Lions Tournament. Action begins from Mercer County Park at 12:30 p.m.
