College Athletic Advisor Release
Â
EWING, N.J. – The College of New Jersey lacrosse team was named a College Athletic Advisor Program That Inspires on Wednesday.
Â
College Athletic Advisor compiles holistic program rankings that are open to all four-year collegiate women's lacrosse programs outside of Division I. The Lions were ranked No. 6 out of the top 10 of over 500 collegiate programs.
Â
TCNJ has been the standard for success in women's lacrosse at the Division III level. The Lions have won an NCAA record 12 NCAA Division III Championships and have competed in all 35 NCAA Division III Women's Lacrosse Tournaments. TCNJ has advanced to the Elite Eight in 34 of 35 seasons. The Lions have produced 79 All-Americans that have combined to earn 132 All-America honors.
Â
The College Athletic Advisor Program rankings are based on a subjective assessment of the student-athlete experience in four areas:
- Holistic development of student-athletes in the institution
- Academic achievement and support for the academic success of student-athletes
- Overall college experience for participants within the program
- Affordability, graduation rates, and student satisfaction
These rankings are meant to highlight programs that may not be widely publicized despite having achieved consistent elite status in competition and in elevating the lives of the participating student-athletes. While this is a subjective list, College Athletic Advisor believes that the rankings present an informed starting point for a discussion about where student-athletes can excel as 'triple-threat' competitors (academics, athletics, and socially) in college and in their future lives.
