WAYNE, N.J. – The College of New Jersey men's swimming and diving team closed out the regular season Saturday with a sweep over William Paterson University. The Lions close out the regular season 9-1 overall and 3-1 in NJAC duals. The Pioneers fell to 8-7 overall and 0-4 in the conference.

The Lions opened the day with a win in the 200-Medley relay. The team of
Derek Kneisel,
Eli O'Connor,
Zachary Volm, and
Harrison Yi stopped the clock at 1:39.90.
Dixon Kahler followed with a win in the 1,000-Free, touching the wall at 10:19.12.

Brett Clauhs won the 200-Free in 1:47.80. Volm followed with a 56.41 swim to win the 100-Back. In the 100-Breast,
Kai Michaud swam 1:04.04 for the victory.
Andrew Thompson won the 200-Fly in 1:56.88, the only sub two-minute swim of the day. O'Connor won the 50-Free in 22.20 to close out the opening session.

Out of the break, Kneisel won the 100-Free in 49.84. Volm claimed his third event win of the day with a 2:05.78 swim in the 200-Back.
Griffin Morgan touched the wall at 2:16.54 in the 200-Breast for the event victory.

Yi claimed a victory in the 500-Free with a time of 4:54.48.
Sean Rave won the 100-Fly with a time of 54.73.

After the final break, O'Connor won the 200-IM for his third victory of the day.

Morgan, Pat Bakey,
Nolan Kuscan, and Michaud went 1:28.75 in the 200-Free relay to complete the sweep.

In the diving well,
Jay Soukup posted NCAA Regional qualifying scores of 282.90 in the 1-Meter and 304.50 in the 3-Meter.

The Lions are now off until the MET Championships on Feb. 21-23.
