EWING, N.J. – The TCNJ softball team will open the 2021 NJAC season against Ramapo on Saturday, April 3. The doubleheader will begin at 1:00 p.m.

WELCOME HOME, LIONS!
TCNJ's last games at Dr. June Walker Field took place 692 days ago on May 11, 2019. The Lions will return home and look to continue the home-field advantage they have had in the last couple of years. TCNJ boasts a 24-6 record at home since the beginning of the 2018 season.
SEASON-OPENING SPLIT
The Lions split on Opening Day against Salisbury and Wesley. TCNJ dropped game one to the Sea Gulls before bouncing back to win game two against the Wolverines, 12-0.
In game two, the Lions grabbed control with five runs in the second and six runs in the third inning.
Kaci Neveling went 2-3 with three RBIs, two runs scored, and two triples in the victory. The Lions' bats tallied 12 hits during game two.
Neveling was named NJAC Rookie of the Week on March 15. She went 5-6 with three runs scored, three RBIs, and two triples on Opening Day. Neveling joined the Lions this season after transferring from Holy Cross.
STRONG START FROM NAMIT
Senior pitcher
Alanna Namit threw a one-hitter to start the season against Wesley. She went the full five innings and struck out six batters to earn her first win of the year. For her career, Namit is 35-6 with a 1.20 ERA in 262 innings pitched.
GOING FOR SEVEN STRAIGHT
TCNJ has won the last six games against Ramapo dating back to April 14
th, 2018. These two teams last met in the 2019 NJAC Tournament, when the Lions came out on top, 4-0.
Eliza Sweet earned the win in the circle after pitching 4.1 shutout innings and allowing only three hits.
