No. 15 Ursinus Tops No. 6 Field Hockey, 2-1, in Double OT

EWING, N.J. – The No. 6 TCNJ field hockey team waged an epic battle with No. 15 Ursinus on Tuesday afternoon at the TCNJ Field Hockey & Lacrosse Complex, but it was the Bears who came out on top in double overtime. Jordan Moore's goal at 1:42 of the second overtime gave Ursinus a 2-1 victory.

The Lions (4-2) dominated many aspects of the stats sheet, including a 21-7 advantage in shots. Ursinus goalie Jordan Ulsh, though, made nine saves and Erin McIlhenny made three defensive saves to keep the game close.

After Devon Carroll scored 1:19 into the first to give Ursinus a 1-0 lead, TCNJ's Jess Hatch answered nine minutes later to tie the score. She scored off a rebound in front off of Sophia Foschini's shot.

The scored didn't change until the overtime winner. TCNJ had several chances, including a 19-6 advantage on penalty corners. The Lions had all four penalty corners in the overtime periods.

Rayhanah Ahmed led the Lions with five shots and four shots on goal.

TCNJ returns to action on Saturday at No. 11 Salisbury at 5 p.m.
