OFFICIAL SELECTIONS
GENEVA, N.Y. –
The TCNJ field hockey team saw five players receive NFHCA All-Region Team honors for Region IV, as announced by the organization Tuesday afternoon. Rayhanah Ahmed, Lauren Cammarata, Jess Hatch and Kileigh Pfluger were nominated for the first team, and Sophia Foschini was selected to the second team.

All five Lions were also selected to the All-NJAC team earlier in the month.

Coming off an excellent sophomore season, Ahmed receives her second First-Team All-Region selection in her Lions career. The sophomore led TCNJ with 29 points and finished second on the team with 10 goals and nine assists. In the first two rounds of the NCAA tournament, Ahmed racked up four total assists against Wilson and Trinity (CT.).

Also making her second First-Team All-Region selection in a row, super senior Lauren Cammarata once again helped anchor a stout Lions defense that finished the year tied for tenth in the nation with ten total shutout victories, and 28th in the nation in goals-against-average at 1.18.

Senior Jess Hatch followed up an All-American season in 2021 with a stellar season that saw her lead the Lions with 10 assists, second with 26 points and tied for third with eight goals. Similar to her two aforementioned teammates, Hatch's selection marks her second consecutive to the All-Region First Team. The senior was also named to the 2022 NFHCA Division III Senior Team.

The 2022 NJAC Defensive Player of the Year, senior Kileigh Pfluger was selected for her first ever All-Region Team selection. Alongside Cammarata, Pfluger played a pivotal role in leading a Lions backline that shut out the most opponents since the 2016 season. On the offensive side of the field, the senior also saw a career year by finishing with a career-high six assists, which ranks third on TCNJ. Like Hatch, Pfluger was also named to the NFHCA Division III Senior Team last month.

Junior Sophia Foschini rounds out the group of Lions honorees with her first career All-Region Second Team selection. Foschini recorded a career-high 19 points, which ranks fourth-best on the team, and was tied for third with eight goals. The Junior recorded a goal in her NCAA tournament debut against Wilson.

The NFHCA Division III All-Region team announcement marks the first in a list of postseason awards to come from the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) in the coming weeks. In order, the organization will announce the NFHCA Regional Players of the Year, the NFHCA All-American teams before finally revealing the NFHCA National Player of the Year.
