GENEVA, N.Y. – Three members of the TCNJ field hockey team were selected for the NFHCA All-American team honors, as announced by the organization Tuesday afternoon.
Jess Hatch was selected to the first team,
Rayhanah Ahmed was picked for the second, and
Kileigh Pfluger was chosen for the third team.
The Lions were one of three programs to have three student-athletes selected, joining National Champion Middlebury and NJAC Champion Rowan.
The three selections also marks the highest number for the program since the 2017 season, when the Lions made it to the Final Four of the NCAA Tournament.
Senior
Jess Hatch joins a select group of Lions to be named First Team All-Americans, becoming the 46th to accomplish this feat. Her selection also makes Hatch the 30th student-athlete in program history to be multiple time All-Americans, as the senior was selected to the All-American team in the 2021 season as well.
Sophomore
Rayhanah Ahmed also saw a much deserved selection onto the All-American Second Team, which marks the first of her career. The sophomore led TCNJ with 29 points and finished second on the team with 10 goals and nine assists.
Senior
Kileigh Pfluger rounded out the Lions trio with a third team All-American nod, also the first of her career. The 2022 NJAC Defensive Player of the Year, Pfluger played a pivotal role in leading a Lions backline that shut out the most opponents since the 2016 season. On the offensive side of the field, the senior also saw a career year by finishing with a career-high six assists, which ranks third on TCNJ.
