LOUISVILLE, KY – TCNJ Softball's
Julia Kinnally was officially named to the 2023 NFCA Division III All-American team, as revealed by the Association on Wednesday evening at the NCAA Division III Championship banquet in Marshall, Texas.
The well-deserved recognition is the most recent of a string of accolades for the Lions superstar shortstop, who was also the NJAC Player of the Year as well as making both the All-Conference and All-Region First teams. During the NCAA Regionals, Kinnally was one of three Lions named to the Regional All-Tournament team.
The first time All-American also becomes the program's first to earn the distinction since
Lauren Conroy and Jess McGuire both were selected in the 2019 season.
Kinnally finished the 2023 season with a .462 batting average and an OPS of 1.248. She recorded a team-best 66 hits alongside 36 RBIs. Most impressively, she broke TCNJ legend Michelle Carlson's single season Doubles record after hitting 25 on the year.
The Lions shortstop is part of fifty-six total student-athletes from 35 different schools to be voted to one of three 2023 NFCA Division III All-America teams.
The NFCA All-America teams are voted on by the Association's All-America Committees. In Division III, the committee is comprised of one member head coach from each of the NCAA's 10 regions.
