EWING, N.J. – The TCNJ men's tennis team put together a solid performance at the Lions Tournament over the weekend, hosting both Ithaca and NYU during the three-day event.

HIGHLIGHTS
  • TCNJ finished 9-2 in singles and 7-2 in doubles against Ithaca
  • Eight of the singles victories came in straight sets, with the lone exception a 6-3, 4-6, 10-4 triumph by Harrison Maitland-Carter over Ean Lantzy
  • The Lions came back on Saturday with a strong effort in doubles, with only a pair of 8-7 tiebreakers separating them from sweeping all nine matches
  • The competition jumped up a notch on Sunday against NYU, but TCNJ managed to edge out three of the five doubles matches and finished a respectable 4-6 in singles play
  • Brett Schuster had an impressive Sunday, teaming with Asa Wong for an 8-4 doubles victory before taking down Alexander Lee in straight sets in singles
  • Derek Jordan rolled past his NYU opponent, dropping only one game in singles action
NOTES
