SWARTHMORE, Pa. – The TCNJ men's tennis team took on host Swarthmore in an unofficial dual match as part of the Haverford/Swarthmore Invitational on Sunday.
 
THE STORY

• Swarthmore won two of three doubles courts and five of six singles matches to claim a 7-2 "victory" in a match that did not count towards team standings

HIGHLIGHTS

• Doubles play was tight, with the Garnet eking out a tiebreaker at No. 2 against Brett Schuster and Asa Wong to clinch a 2-1 advantage
• Aayush Kishore and Alberto Thomas put the Lions on the board with an 8-5 victory
• Kishore was the lone Lion to win his singles match, rallying from a set down to pull out a 4-6, 6-2, 10-5 triumph

NOTES

• Matthew Michibata dropped an 8-5 decision at No. 1 doubles alongside Harrison Maitland-Carter, meaning assistant coach Michael Klimchak's program record of 69 doubles wins remains intact. Michibata will have his next chance to tie and surpass Klimchak's mark at regionals next weekend
