ITHACA, N.Y.- The TCNJ wrestling team picked up another dual win against Ithaca on the road Saturday by a score of 20-15.
 
The Lions (8-4) built off an early tech. fall win followed by a pin and three decision wins to seal the win over the Bombers (6-5).
 
Matthew Griffin kicked off the day on a high note for TCNJ as the 14^th ranked wrestler at 125 earned a 21-2 win by tech. fall.
 
Following up Griffin's strong performance at 133 pounds was Kyle Nase, who pinned Francisco Muriel just over a minute into the second period.
 
Next up on the card was Sam Kotch, who wrestled his way to a 10-4 victory over Matt Haycook at 141 pounds.
 
After losses by decision at 149 and 157, Nick Sacco earned a decision win in a bout featuring two of the region's best at 165 pounds. Sacco capitalized with a late takedown to pick up the 6-5 win over Konrad Parker.
 
The Bombers took the next three by decision before Peter Wersinger and Jeremy Mazzella faced off in a heavyweight bout. In dramatic fashion, Wersinger (No. 2 in the Mideast) took down Mazzella (No. 3 in Mideast) in the final seconds of the first sudden-victory period to seize an 8-5 win.
 
TCNJ wrestling is back on the mat next Saturday as they head back up to upstate New York for the Cortland Quad Meet starting at 1 PM.
