PITMAN, N.J. - TCNJ women's basketball's
Amanda Baylock was named the New Jersey Athletic Conference's Rookie of the Week, as released by the conference this afternoon. The freshman garners the honor for the first time in her young career after averaging 11.5 points on 53% shooting and 2.5 rebounds in a 1-1 week for the Lions.

Baylock was pivotal in TCNJ's comeback win over Chapman to start the week, scoring a career-high 12 points to pair with four rebounds and two assists. After the Lions fell behind 23-13 through one quarter, the freshman registered eight of her 12 points as part of a 24-11 second that gave the visitors a lead they would hold the rest of the way en route to a 78-61 win.

Baylock stayed hot in TCNJ's final game of 2024, adding a team-high 11 points in a loss to Cal Lutheran. The Scotch Plains, N.J. native was the lone Lion to reach double figures, accounting for nearly a quarter of TCNJ's points while hitting a career-best three triples.

Baylock and the Lions return to Packer Hall Thursday, Jan. 2 to take on Swarthmore. Tip-off for TCNJ's non-conference finale is set for 5 p.m.
