COLLEGE PARK, MD. – The No. 12 TCNJ men's swimming and diving team made a statement on the first day of the inaugural New Jersey Athletic Conference Championship Meet by sweeping the pair of relay events in the pool, and snapping a school record in the process.

In the opening event of the weekend with the 200 Medley Relay, the Lions quartet of Andrew Kidchob, Ryan VanDeVeen, James McChesney and Dixon Kahler set a new program record with a combined time of 1:28.28, which edged out the United States Merchant Marine Academy relay team's time of 1:28.63. The new record dropped nearly a full second from the previous record set last season.

The 800 Free Relay saw the blue and gold finish on top once again, this time posting the third-fastest program time ever at 6:36.04, which cruised past the field by over six seconds. Lukas Blach set the tone with an NCAA B-Cut qualifying split, before Brian Bull, Gavin Formon and McChesney as the anchor finished out the golden performance.

With the pair of golden relay finishes, the Lions closed out day one with the top team score of 128 points. Rounding out the top three are Rowan and the USMMA, both finishing with 110.
