The 2023-24 Academic All-District® Men's and Women's Tennis Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
Academic All-District® honorees advance to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. First-, second and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced June 4 (women) and June 5 (men).
A finance major with a 3.86 cumulative GPA, Maitland-Carter was named All-WIAC East in both singles and doubles during his sophomore campaign. He and
Matthew Michibata captured the ITA Northeast Region doubles championship and earned ITA All-America honors in the fall. Maitland-Carter was also an NCAA doubles qualifier alongside Michibata in 2023.
Thomas, a mathematics major with a perfect 4.0 GPA, and Schuster, a business major with a 3.79 GPA, earned All-WIAC recognition as a doubles duo, starting the season on an eight-match winning streak and finishing 11-4 together between the No. 2 and No. 3 flights.
The Division II and III CSC Academic All-America® programs are partially financially supported by the NCAA Division II and III national governance structures to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2022-23 Divisions II and III Academic All-America® programs. The NAIA CSC Academic All-America® program is partially financially supported through the NAIA governance structure.
