EWING, N.J. – TCNJ football star
Malin Jasinski added one last signature honor to his ever-expanding trophy case on Tuesday, when he was officially named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-America® First Team.
Jasinski's selection for the prestigious honor places him in rarefied air as only the fifth player in TCNJ football history to receive Academic All-America® recognition; he joins Zach Warcola (2019), Andrew Larkin (2007), Scott Paterson (2003), and Curt Monday (2000). Only Jasinski and Monday have ever been chosen to the First Team.
Jasinski was named to the Academic All-District Team for the third year in a row in the fall. Outstanding student-athletes are nominated for Academic All-District® recognition by communications directors and must have a minimum 3.50 GPA and meet high athletic standards.
A select group of student-athletes advances to the national ballot where CSC members vote on Academic All-America® teams. Jasinski snagged one of the two spots for wide receivers on the First Team and is the only player in the NJAC to be named an Academic All-American.
A graduate student with a 3.68 GPA as a finance major, Jasinski enjoyed the finest receiving season in TCNJ history in 2024, romping through the record books on the way to first-team All-America recognition from both the AFCA and D3football.com.
Jasinski put up gaudy receiving numbers, powering his way to NJAC Offensive Player of the Year recognition. He shattered school records for receptions (99) and yards (1,378), finishing second in all of Division III in receptions per game (9.9) and receiving yards per game (137.8) as well as fourth in total receiving yards and 24
th in all-purpose yards. Jasinski also led the NJAC with eight receiving touchdowns.
Jasinski leaves TCNJ as the program's all-time leader in receptions with 169, and his 2,053 career receiving yards place him second on the all-time charts.
The Division III Academic All-America® program is being financially supported by the NCAA Division III national governance structure to assist the College Sports Communicators with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2024-25 Division III Academic All-America® program.
