LOGAN TOWNSHIP, N.J. – At the Metro Region Championship on Saturday, the TCNJ women's cross country team finished 2
nd out of 25 teams.
Naesha Gadie finished in 7
th, securing herself a trip to the NCAA Championship next week.
Gadie's 7
th place paced the Lions, and she broke the 22-minute mark with a time of 21:59.4.
Ella Daly was next, placing 16
th in 22:33.7.
Ava Biemuller joined Gadie and Daly in the top 25, finishing in 24
th (22:48.3). NJAC Rookie of the Year
Teagan Walker (30
th, 22:58.1) and
Alex Grivas (33
rd, 23:03.0) rounded out TCNJ's scoring five, who all have secured All-Region honors by finishing inside of the top 35.
Savannah Hodgens finished just behind that group in 38
th (23:16.7), followed afterward by
Krista Purnell in 52
nd (23:41.2).
As a team, TCNJ logged 103 points to finish runner-up to Swarthmore.
Naesha Gadie will represent the Lions next week at the NCAA Championship in Spartanburg, South Carolina.
