Nick Koch was selected as the NJAC Men's Basketball Player of the Week as the league office announced its weekly award recipients on Monday.
Koch played like royalty over the weekend in the Queen City, averaging 24.5 points and 6.0 assists in a pair of high-profile games at the Jay Bilas Classic in Charlotte. The senior star poured in a season-high 33 points alongside seven rebounds and seven assists to carry the Lions to an impressive 76-66 victory over a Denison squad that came in ranked 24th in the NPI. Koch played all 40 minutes in that Friday night contest, finishing 10-of-21 from the floor (including 4-of-8 from 3-point range) and 9-of-10 at the foul line while also swiping three steals.
Koch scored 16 points and dished out five assists in 37 minutes the next day as TCNJ fell to 7th-ranked Emory. For the weekend, he also averaged 4.5 rebounds per game and committed only five turnovers against his dozen assists.
