EWING, N.J. – The No. 10 TCNJ wrestling team made short work of its home quad match on Saturday, conceding just four total bouts and 13 team points in convincing victories over Oswego State (40-6), Cortland (48-0), and Delaware Valley (36-7).
 
Nick Sacco went 3-0 with two pins and a tech fall, Hunter Mays notched two tech falls and one pin, and Mike Conklin produced a pair of tech falls in an unblemished afternoon for the Lions (12-5), who extended their dual winning streak to five and improved to 9-1 in home duals this season.
 
TCNJ 40, Oswego State 6
Matthew Griffin started the day with the first of his two pins, needing just 33 seconds to end his 125-pound bout and stake the Lions to a 6-0 lead.
 
Ahead 12-3, TCNJ got a tech fall from Conklin at 149.
 
The Lions dropped a tight decision at 157, but that was as good as it got for the Lakers. Sacco pinned David Hammerle early in the third period at 165 before Mays eliminated Aaron Fredenburg with an 18-3 tech in barely one period of action at 174.
 
James Romaine used a takedown in the waning seconds to steal a 5-4 victory from Anthony Cascen at 184, and D.J. Henry downed Anthony Cascen, 5-2, at 197. Matt Coon finished it off with a first-period pin at heavyweight.
 
TCNJ 48, Cortland 0
Griffin notched another pin to open the bout against the Red Dragons.
 
Garrett Totten toughed out a 9-5 decision against Cody Merwin at 133, and Sam Kotch started a series of bonus point wins with a 21-6 technical fall on the strength of riding time at 141.
 
Conklin routed David Ensminger, 21-5, at 149, and J.J. Giordano grabbed a 13-3 major over Justin Klein at 157.
 
Sacco ended his 165-pound bout just shy of the end of the second period with an 18-2 technical fall, and Mays made it two in a row with an 18-2 rout at 174.
 
Romaine snagged a 14-5 major at 184 before Henry won by technical fall, 18-1, at 197, and Coon ended it with another pin, this time early in the second period against Seth Parker.
 
TCNJ 36, Delaware Valley 7
The bonus points continued to rain down in the third and final dual of the day.
 
After Griffin won by forfeit at 125, Totten and Conklin sandwiched decisions around a major decision win for the Aggies at 133.
 
Giordano and Sacco secured back-to-back technical falls at 157 and 165, respectively, and Mays proceeded to pin his 174-pound opponent in under two minutes.
 
Romaine corralled an 8-2 victory at 184, and Henry clinched his match at 197 by technical fall, 16-0, at the end of the second period.
