2/23/2025 7:59:00 PM

Box Score TROY, N.Y. – The TCNJ men's tennis team dropped a 7-0 shutout at the hands of 18th-ranked RPI on Sunday.

Playing for the second time in as many days, the Lions picked up a win at No. 2 doubles for their lone triumph of the afternoon.

Brett Schuster and Alberto Thomas did the honors for TCNJ, knocking off Joel McCandless and Tsubasa Okada by a 6-4 count on the second court. With the doubles point on the line, Harrison Maitland-Carter and Asa Wong conceded a tiebreaker on the top court.

The highly touted Engineers won in straight sets on every singles court except the sixth, where Nathan Chan took McCandless to the brink. Chan won the first set, 6-3, and took the second to a tiebreaker, but McCandless took that as well as the decisive super tiebreak to complete the sweep.
