Women's XC Lands Four on All-Academic Team

NEW ORLEANS - Four members of the TCNJ women's cross country team were named All-Academic Athletes, as released by the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) last week.
 
The Lions quartet of Ava Biemuller, Alex Grivas, Alyssa Maybeck and Cassidy Quinn all garnered national recognition by having a cumulative GPA of at least a 3.30 and finishing in the top-25 percent of the 2024 Metro Region Championship.
 
Biemuller, a nursing major, finished her first semester at TCNJ with a 3.89 GPA and was an All-Region selection after placing 14th in the 6K Championship. She was joined by fellow freshman Maybeck, who paired her NJAC Rookie of the Year award with All-Academic honors, boasting a GPA of 3.92 and finishing 28th at the Metro Region Championship.
 
Grivas, a junior communications major, matched a career-best 35th place finish in the Regional Championship with a cumulative GPA of 3.43 to garner national honors, with Quinn rounding out the Lions' quarter. The graduate student was a third-place finisher in the Metro Region Championship and holds a 3.75 cumulative GPA while majoring in iSTEM.
 
The TCNJ women's cross country program was also recognized as a USTFCCCA All-Academic Team, which is awarded to teams that have a cumulative GPA of at least a 3.10 on a 4.0 scale – the Lions finished the fall semester with a 3.42.
