Tobler Takes Over All-Time Goals Record as Lacrosse Routs Leb Val

EWING, N.J. – Ally Tobler etched her name atop the TCNJ women's lacrosse record books on Saturday, scoring six goals to become the program's all-time leading scorer in a 22-9 victory over Lebanon Valley.

Tobler took a crisp pass from Gabriella Roosa on the right side of the crease and easily beat the Dutchmen keeper with a quick shot to net her 262nd career goal and pass Ali Jaeger '11 for the school record.

Tobler was just one of several standouts to have huge games for the Lions (6-2). Roosa paired five goals with five assists, while CJ Kole and Marissa Lucca posted matching stat lines of four goals and three assists.

TCNJ did much of its damage early, potting five goals in the first 2 minutes and 51 seconds – two apiece from Roosa and Tobler. The fifth-year star scored two more in the opening frame, including one with 16 seconds remaining to put the blue and gold in front, 9-4, after a frenzied first frame.

Lebanon Valley (6-4) got on the board first in the second, but it was all Lions from there. Lucca kicked off a 7-0 spurt with her third goal of the day, and Veronica Campbell tallied a pair of her own during a stretch of four goals in under four minutes. The last of those scores made it a 15-5 game and instituted a running clock, which remained for the rest of the contest.

With five goals in the bank at halftime, Tobler needed just one more to break the all-time record. She got it midway through the third, forever cementing her spot as one of the most prolific players in the history of the program.
