NORTHBOROUGH, MASS. – TCNJ goalkeeper Julia Charest was named Division III Defensive Player of the Week by the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) as the organization announced its top weekly honors on Tuesday.
 
Charest, who already garnered her sixth career NJAC Defensive Player of the Week award on Monday, has her first career national weekly accolade after a brilliant performance in the Lions' 15-7 victory over No. 23 Rowan last Saturday.
 
The fifth-year put forth the best showing of her career, piling up a career-high 18 saves and a sparkling .720 save percentage as TCNJ clinched the NJAC regular-season title. Charest's efforts helped neutralize a sizeable shot advantage for the Profs, who went scoreless on eight free-position attempts as Charest stonewalled one shot after another.
 
Charest is third in school history with 469 career saves and counting and is two wins from moving into a tie for second all-time (59).
