PITMAN, N.J. – TCNJ men's soccer's Matt Will and men's cross country's Josh Santiago were both named NJAC Rookies of the Week, as announced by the league office this afternoon.
 
Will looked strong in an undefeated weekend for the Lions, tallying two goals and two assists. The freshman scored his first collegiate goal in TCNJ's opener against Immaculata, taking a feed from classmate Aidan Ayar and poking it into the bottom corner before adding another goal and two assists as part of a 6-0 win over Penn State Berks Sunday afternoon.
 
Santiago, meanwhile, impressed in his debut, finishing fifth in the 5K with his time of 16:08.1. The Old Bridge, N.J.-native was the top-finishing freshman at the meet, coming in just a half-second behind teammate Brandon Chen for the runner-up spot.
 
Men's soccer returns to action Saturday, Sept. 6 for a match against Penn State Harrisburg, while men's cross country competes next at the Herb Lorenz Invitational Friday, Sept. 12.
