PITMAN, N.J. - A conference-leading six student-athletes received weekly NJAC honors, as announced by the organization this afternoon.

TCNJ football's Tim Willever (Special Teams Player of the Week) and women's soccer's Jenny Ward (Offensive Player of the Week) were recognized for the first time this season, while Josh Santiago, Will Nelson, Teagan Walker and Alexis Smith swept the conference's Runner and Rookie of the week honors in another dominant weekend for the Lions' men's and women's cross country teams.

Willever went 2-for-2 on field goal attempts and made all four of his extra-point tries in Saturday's 34-0 victory at William Paterson. The junior connected on a career-long 47-yard field goal on the final play of the first half, and the pair of three-pointers gave him 16 for his career.

Ward – named the NJAC's Offensive Player of the Week for the first time in her career – was the driving force behind another undefeated week for the ninth-ranked TCNJ women's soccer team, totaling four goals and one assist. The junior opened her week pairing her first collegiate hat trick with a helper in the Lions' 5-0 win over William Paterson before scoring the game's opening goal in TCNJ's 4-2 victory over New Paltz. Through six conference games, Ward ranks first in the NJAC in goals (7) and points (17) while tying for third in assists (3).

The 2025 NJAC Rookie of the Year, Santiago captures his first career Runner of the Week award after a solid run at the Connecticut College Invitational. The sophomore finished as TCNJ's top runner in 43rd overall (24:53.7) out of 241 finishers.

Nelson, meanwhile, picked up his second career NJAC Rookie of the Week award after earning a top-100 finish over the weekend. The rookie finished in 94th overall (25:32.9) and 16th among freshmen in the race.

On the women's side, Walker earned her second NJAC Runner of the Week award this month after leading her team at the Conn College Invitational. In a race with several nationally-ranked squads and All-American runners, Walker finished in 70th place (22:16.1) out of 259 finishers.

Smith was TCNJ's top-finishing freshman at Saturday's Invitational, finishing in 170th with a time of 23:28.3. This is the rookie's third NJAC Rookie of the Week honor.
