4/30/2026 11:00:00 AM

EWING, N.J. – Marissa Lucca and Hailey Wexler took home major awards to headline a six-pack of TCNJ women's lacrosse standouts who earned recognition on the All-NJAC Team.

Lucca was named Attack Player of the Year, and Wexler earned co-Goaltender of the Year honors alongside Montclair State's Joey Grotkopf. They were joined on the all-conference First Team by CJ Kole and Emily Potenza, while Kelly Nevins and Abby Williams received honorable mention.

Lucca extends the Lions' remarkable streak of 10 consecutive seasons with the NJAC Attack Player of the Year, following in the footsteps of three-time winner Ally Tobler among a host of others. The league's Rookie of the Year in 2024 and an honorable mention performer a year ago, Lucca vaulted into the conference's highest honor after a remarkable regular season in which she was the runaway leader in goals (31), assists (17), and points (48) in NJAC play. For the season, she paces the conference in both assists (48) and points (118) while ranking second in goals (70).

Lucca, incredibly, recorded at least 10 points in four of five conference games, including seven goals and five assists versus Stockton, eight goals and three assists against Kean, seven goals and four assists against Ramapo, and seven goals and three assists in TCNJ's 14-7 win at Rowan in the regular-season finale.

In the process, Lucca went over 300 points for her career, becoming the fifth player in program history to reach that milestone, and also joined Leigh Mitchell '12 and Ali Jaeger '11 as the only players in school history to surpass 100 points in multiple seasons.

Lucca has established herself as one of the most dangerous attacking players in all of Division III, ranking fifth in the nation in points, 14th in goals, and 20th in assists. Among active Division III players, Lucca is 13th in career points (311), 21st in career assists (115), and 31st in career goals (196) despite playing in just her third season.

She was a 3-time NJAC Offensive Player of the Week and was named IWLCA Division III Offensive Player of the Week on Monday.

Wexler earned a share of the conference's top goaltender honor in her first season as a starter. The fifth year has been magnificent in her debut starting campaign, ranking 5th in Division III in both save percentage (.527) and 7th in goals-against average (5.45).

Wexler was even better in conference play, leading the league by a wide margin with a 3.73 goals-against average and a .576 save percentage. She was the only conference starter to save more than 42 percent of the shots on goal that she faced, and her GAA was almost four goals better than the next-closest starter. Wexler notched a season-high 13 saves against Babson and No. 4 Salisbury and made six at Rowan, helping the Lions hold the Profs off the scoreboard for more than 37 minutes of game time.

Kole earned her second straight nod to the All-NJAC first team despite missing seven games in the middle of the season. She has been terrific when healthy, racking up 36 goals and 16 assists in 10 games, with at least three points in every contest. Kole had two goals and two assists in the Lions' win over Stockton and finished with three goals and five draw controls, and had five goals apiece in three consecutive wins over Moravian, Ursinus, and New Paltz in March.

Kole and Lucca are two of 27 players in TCNJ history to collect All-NJAC accolades in multiple seasons, and next year Kole will have a chance to join a group of a dozen all-time Lions with three all-conference campaigns on their ledger.

Potenza has been a force in the midfield, leading TCNJ in ground balls with 49 (5th in the NJAC) while ranking third in draw controls (38) and fourth in caused turnovers (27). She has also taken her offensive game to new heights, pairing 13 points with 14 assists to rank fourth on the team in helpers and sixth in points.

In the last three games of the regular season, all against NJAC competition, Potenza produced five goals, four assists, 14 ground balls, and 10 draw controls, and she recently surpassed 100 ground balls for her career. Potenza is 11th in program history with 68 career caused turnovers.

Nevins becomes an all-conference performer for the first time following a breakout sophomore season in which she has piled up 55 goals and 18 assists, both good for second on the team. Nevins, who has hat-tricks in 10 games this season, is fourth in the NJAC in both goals per game (3.24) and points per game (4.29), and is second in the league in both free-position goals (13) and free-position percentage (.619). Her best game came against Ramapo, when she exploded for six goals and three assists, and she scored five goals in Wednesday's NJAC semifinal win over Montclair State.

Williams has established herself as one of the best defenders in the conference in her debut season, topping the NJAC and ranking 19th nationally with 3.06 caused turnovers per game. One of only two players in program history to record at least 50 caused turnovers in a single season, the rookie has accumulated multiple caused turnovers in all but three games this season, including four contests with at least five; that list is headlined by a remarkable seven CTs in a win at Lebanon Valley, one off the single-game school record. Williams is also third on the team with 46 ground balls, which ranks seventh in the conference.

TCNJ has produced at least six All-NJAC honorees in every season since 2017.
