Lacrosse Lands Five on All-Region Roster

5/15/2026 3:00:00 PM

NORTHBOROUGH, Mass. – Five TCNJ lacrosse players were recognized with All-Boardwalk Region honors from the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) on Friday.

CJ Kole, Marissa Lucca, Hailey Wexler, and Abby Williams were all named to the All-Boardwalk Region First Team, with Emily Potenza rounding out the Lions' honorees on the Second Team.

The five all-region selections extends TCNJ's remarkable streak of producing at least five every year since 2011.

Now a 3-time All-Region selection and 2-time first team honoree, Lucca has been sensational in her senior season, ranking 4th in all of Division III in points (130) and points per game (6.84), 8th in goals (78), 11th in goals per game (4.11), 17th in assists (52), 21st in shooting percentage (.595), and 23rd in assists per game (2.74).

The NJAC Attack Player of the Year, Lucca ranks 3rd in program history in assists (119), 4th in points (323), and 8th in goals (204), and her 130 points in 2026 are good for 2nd-most in a single-season – just 10 shy of Jenny LaRocca's record-setting 2022 campaign. Lucca has racked up at least five points in 15 of the Lions' 19 games this season, headlined by a record-breaking 14-point explosion (5 goals, 9 assists) in a win over Neumann.

Wexler makes her all-region debut after a tremendous final season in which she earned a share of the NJAC's Goaltender of the Year award in her first season as a starter. The fifth year has been magnificent in her debut starting campaign, ranking 5th in Division III in goals-against average (5.88) and 13th in save percentage (.505).

Wexler was even better in conference play, leading the league by a wide margin with a 3.73 goals-against average and a .576 save percentage. She was the only conference starter to save more than 42 percent of the shots on goal that she faced, and her GAA was almost four goals better than the next-closest starter. Wexler notched a season-high 13 saves against Babson and No. 4 Salisbury and made six in the regular-season finale at = Rowan, helping the Lions hold the Profs off the scoreboard for more than 37 minutes of game time.

An All-Region first team selection for the second consecutive season, Kole also earned her second straight nod to the All-NJAC first team despite missing seven games in the middle of the season. She has been terrific when healthy, racking up 46 goals and 22 assists in 12 games, with at least three points in every contest. Kole saved her best for the biggest moment, piling up seven goals and four assists in the Lions' 18-11 victory over Messiah in the second round of the NCAA Tournament, the most points (11) by a TCNJ player in an NCAA game since 2010.

With her double-digit outburst in Sunday's win against Messiah, Kole became the 24th player in program history to surpass 200 career points. The junior is already tied for 11th in assists (73) and tied for 16th in draw controls (125) on TCNJ's all-time charts.

Williams has burst onto the scene as one of the nation's most tenacious defenders, leading the NJAC and ranking 17th in the nation at 3.11 caused turnovers per game. Her 59 caused turnovers are tied for 3rd-most in a single season at TCNJ, and already place her 20th on the all-time charts, and the rookie is also 5th in the NJAC with 52 ground balls.

One of only two players in program history to record at least 50 caused turnovers in a single season, the rookie has accumulated multiple caused turnovers in all but three games this season, including four contests with at least five; that list is headlined by a remarkable seven CTs in a win at Lebanon Valley, one off the single-game school record. Williams is also second on the team with 52 ground balls, which ranks fourth in the conference.

Potenza has been a force in the midfield, leading TCNJ in ground balls with 53 while ranking third in draw controls (41) and fourth in caused turnovers (29). She has also taken her offensive game to new heights, pairing 13 points with 16 assists to rank fourth on the team in helpers and sixth in points.

In the last three games of the regular season, all against NJAC competition, Potenza produced five goals, four assists, 14 ground balls, and 10 draw controls, and she recently surpassed 100 ground balls for her career. Potenza is 11th in program history with 70 career caused turnovers.
