EWING, N.J. – The TCNJ women's tennis team took the courts for the first time on Saturday, taking on Stevens in a set of 'hidden duals' at the Tennis Complex.
Zoey Albert won all three of her matches, including both with doubles partner
Shruti Mannan, while
Ella Brown and
Elizabeth Ring also won both of their doubles matches.
Albert was one of two Lions to prevail in singles, with
Gabriella Robinson notching the other victory. Albert defeated Alix Dry in a tight 8-6 match, also teaming with Mannan for a 6-1 rout of Lorena Piegas and Jasmine Wen and edging past Dry and Wen, 6-4.
NOTES
- Albert moved into a tie for 11th on the program's all-time career wins list (modern era) with 122 combined victories and counting
- Albert's 68 doubles wins are tied for 12th all-time
- Robinson took over 16th on the all-time list with her 112th career win
- Ella Brown notched her first collegiate victories
