Gwynedd Valley, PA – Ranked sixth in Division III, The College of New Jersey's baseball team escaped with a 12-11 road win o n Wednesday over Gwynedd-Mercy College with a run in the top of the ninth to break an 11—11 tie and help the team to their third straight win. TCNJ now stands at 11-2, while the Griffins drop to 5-11.
TCNJ's baseball team got a win in relief from junior
Eric Gertie (Cinnaminson, NJ/Cinnaminson) as the right handed reliever worked 1.1 innings and fanned three to preserve the Lions lead and the win. Gertie is now 1-1 with a team-leading three saves.
Sophomore outfielder
Chris Esperon (Union, NJ/Union Catholic) added a double and was 2-3 at the place with three RBIs, while sophomore
Nick Tutrone (Marlboro, NJ/Marlboro) added a pair of RBIs as well. Junior second baseman
Adam Tussey (Brooklawn, NJ/Gloucester) was 2-5 with a pair of runs scored and a pair RBI's as well.

Jeff Toth (Parlin, NJ/Sayreville) singled to help move Tussey over before Mazzaccaro had an RBI sacrifice fly to centerfield.
GMC's junior
Tim McMenamin (Maple Shade, NJ/Maple Shade) was 3-4 with five RBIs after helping the Griffins with his three run homerun in the bottom of the fourth inning.
TCNJ returns to action on March 27 for a 3:30 p.m. home contest as the Lions host Rutgers-Camden in the NJAC opener.
