Ranked 26th in Division III, the Lions of The College of New Jersey posted a 6-3 home win
over Swarthmore College in Tuesday. TCNJ stands at 12-6 on the year, while Swarthmore drops to
11-5 having had their five-match win streak halted by the Lions.

TCNJ's women's tennis team honored their 2007-2008 seniors prior to Tuesday's match as the Lions hosted the Garnets in the final regular-season match of the year. Honored for their contributions to the team were Christina Contrafatto (Cherry Hill, NJ/Cherry Hill East), Ariel Donohue (Highland Mills, NY/Cornwall Central), and Kimberly Lee Lum (Princeton Junction, NJ/West Windsor-Plainsboro South).

The trio has helped the Lions combine for a 53-13 record during their careers.
Contraffato played at first singles for the Lions as sophomore Jackie Shtemberg (Franklin Lakes, NJ/Ramapo) has been sidelined with an injury. Swarthmore's sophomore Rachel Wallwork (Washington, DC/Georgetown Day) posted the win at first singles to improve to 13-1 in dual action on the year and 15-3 on the season. Ranked 8th regionally in the South Atlantic Region, Wallwork teamed at first doubles with junior Jennie Park (Rockford, IL/Guilford) for the 8-3 win at first doubles, beating

TCNJ's Contrafatto and freshman Amanda Berg (Mendham, NJ/West Morris-Mendham). On her career, Contrafatto an ITA All-American in singles and doubles stands at 138-55 as a Lion.

TCNJ's junior Haley Kutner (Franklin Lakes, NJ/Dwight Englewood) and sophomore Stefanie Haar (Morganville, NJ/Marlboro) were also victorious at third doubles and are 10-4 together, while both were winners in singles play as well as Haar beat senior Jennie Midyette (Chesapeake, VA/Western Branch) at third singles and Kutner added a win in three-sets over senior Erica Lukoski (Shoreham, NY/Shoreham-Wading River). Haar boasts a 17-8 singles record with a team-leading 13 wins in dual action.

Adding wins at fifth and sixth singles, respectively for the Lions were sophomores Sarah Roser (Bernardsville, NJ/Bernards) and Tamra Wroblesky (Freehold, NJ/Communications).

TCNJ must now wait to hear if their season continues as the 2008 NCAA Division III Tournament field will be announced on April 28.
