Ewing, NJ…The College of New Jersey's women's tennis team hosted the Sea Gulls of Salisbury University on Saturday afternoon in TCNJ's Student Recreation Center. Ranked No. 18 in Division III, TCNJ tallied the 7-2 victory to improve to 10-5 on the season. With the loss Salisbury drops to 12-3 on the year. The Lions have won four in a row and with the win Saturday, halted SU's 11-match win streak that dated back to March 1.
Now in his eighth season at TCNJ, head coach
Scott Dicheck is closing in on his 100th career win. He is now 96-28 at the helm of the Lion women's tennis program.

Salisbury's top doubles pair of sophomore
Jackie Burr (Dover, DE) and
Anna Marie Kable (Parkton, MD) picked up an 8-6 win over the Lions top pair of senior
Christina Contrafatto (Cherry Hill, NJ/Cherry Hill East) and sophomore
Jackie Shtemberg (Franklin Lakes, NJ/Ramapo). The win by the Sea Gull tandem keeps them unbeaten in action in dual meets at 9-0, while the Lions pair drops to 19-9 on the season.
With her win at first singles over Kable, Shtemberg improves to 21-8 in singles action and with her overall combined career mark standing at 91-27. TCNJ's Contrafatto was a winner at second singles beating
Kelly Fahrner (Germantown, MD), 6-1, 6-1 to remain perfect at second singles (7-0). Contrafatto, who is ranked 14th regional in singles play is now 135-52 on her career in both doubles and singles action.
Sophomore
Stefanie Haar (Morganville, NJ/Marlboro) was a winner for the Lions at fourth singles and is now 14-8, while teaming at second doubles with junior
Haley Kutner (Franklin Lakes, NJ/Dwight Englewood) for a win as well. The Lion pair is now 8-3 on the year and have won four in a row together.
