Ewing, NJ… The College of New Jersey women's lacrosse team collected another win on its home field on Saturday as the Lions defeated Frostburg State University, 16-3.
The latest win put TCNJ at 13-2 on the season and the team has won all nine of its game at home this season, while the Bobcats capped their season at 7-9.
The Lions scored all 11 goals in the opening half and led by 13 before Frostburg tallied.
Junior Robin Deehan (Morris Plains, NJ/Academy of St. Elizabeth) paced TCNJ's offense with four goals and two assists. Sophomore Alison Jaeger (Hampton, NJ/North Hunterdon) netted three goals leaving her one shy of 100 for her career. Sophomore Rebecca Crawford (Warren, NJ/Watchung Hills) added a hat trick and freshman Jackie Riley (North Caldwell, NJ/West Essex) chipped in with a pair.
Sophomore Kelsey O'Gorman (Valley Cottage, NY/Nyack) also got on the scoresheet with her first collegiate goal.
TCNJ goalie Mary Waller (Bel Air, MD/C. Milton Wright) picked up her 13th win of the season as she needed to make only one save.
In goal for the Bobcats, Erin Morrell (Easton, MD/Easton) made six saves and Tori Butts (Baltimore, MD/Perry Hall) collected five.
The Lions close out the home portion of the schedule on Tuesday, April 28 hosting 12th-ranked Stevens Institute of Technology at 7 p.m.
